ABOUT 6LEVEN
Founded in 2025, 6LEVEN Records began as a dream in 2010 in a college dorm room at North Carolina A&T State University. The label was the brainchild of Zachary Peterson, a student with a deep love for hip-hop, soul, R&B, and the culture surrounding them. What started as a small, DIY operation in a cramped dorm room has since laid the foundation for something much bigger—a platform for emerging talent and unique voices in music, with Zachary Peterson himself as the label’s first artist.
The early days were all about hustle—late-night studio sessions, self-funded recordings, and getting music out to the world with little more than a laptop, a few mics, and a relentless drive to support underrepresented voices. 6LEVEN Records is slowly making a mark with its fresh, authentic take on hip-hop and R&B.
Though still small and in its beginning stages, 6LEVEN Records is built on a strong foundation—one that places a premium on giving artists creative freedom and complete control over their music. The label’s mission is simple: to empower artists to express their unique vision and share their music with the world on their own terms. With this artist-first approach, 6LEVEN continues to focus on quality over quantity, ensuring that every project reflects the artist’s true voice.
While still growing and finding its footing, 6LEVEN Records has already made waves within its local community and continues to nurture Zachary Peterson’s career as the label’s flagship artist, and is looking to grow.
